We lost another legend in the past week, a music maker of a generation: singer, songwriter and guitarist David Crosby.

Crosby, an original member of The Byrds, had come out with “Mr. Tambourine Man”, a song by Bob Dylan, a big hit:

In 1968 he formed the folk rock supergroup Crosby Stills & Nash with Stephen Stills and Graham Nash, later joined by singer-songwriter Neil Young.

Her acclaimed album Déjà Vu sold eight million copies.

Rita Braver sat down with Crosby for “Sunday Morning” in 2008:

Braver: “How did you get top billing?”
Crosby: “It’s very simple: try to put it another way.”
Braver: “Nash, Stills, Crosby? It’s okay. Nash probably liked that!”
Crosby: No, he didn’t. There is no other way.
