A man armed with a knife was killed by an agent: the Paris police headquarters said on Twitter

A man was killed at Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport near the French capital Paris on Wednesday morning after he drew a knife.

According to AFP reports, it happened at Terminal 2F. The man, a homeless man, disturbed security officials and border police around 8:20 a.m. The police were then alerted to intervene and take him away.

The man initially walked away, insulted the officers, but then pulled out a knife. The exact dynamics are not yet known, but according to reports from some authorities, the police ordered him to put the knife on the ground several times with no result. The agents then opened fire and killed him.

An AFP photographer who witnessed the scene explained that a tall man had pointed what appeared to be a knife at police. A warning was given but he stepped forward and a police officer fired. only one shot was fired. The victim, who was injured in the abdomen, was placed on a stretcher and evacuated to an area inaccessible to passengers, he added.
