In the next chapters of the novel wetlandby TV Globo, the Velho do Rio (Osmar Prado) will experience tense moments as he tries to prevent a fire in the area. The act of courage will endanger the mystic man’s life. the dramatic situation will be felt by none other than José Leôncio (Marcos Palmeira)..
The Pantanal is threatened by the behavior of a farmer and his henchmen. The men will set fire to the forest and awaken the feeling of the protector of the Velho do Rio. If you try to intervene against the fire, he won’t think twice and go after the outsiders and stuff ends up being burned by the flames.
When he stands between life and death, one person with family ties to the old man will sense the danger: Zé Leôncio, his son in the plot. The farmer will feel a pang in his chest, showing unexpected tiredness.. Filó’s companion (Dira Paes) will pray to the saints asking for peace and an end to the negative feelings that are tormenting him.
At the same time, the Velho do Rio, is rescued by firefighters in the area. But contrary to what one might expect, he is not taken to a hospital. Since he will be in anaconda form, rescuers will transfer him to the animal rehabilitation center for recovery.
