‘I didn’t think about how embarrassing it would be’: Pamela Anderson reveals how her Playboy career impacted her sons, leaving them in tears after being teased for their sex tape

Pamela Anderson has revealed how her glamor modeling career has impacted her sons Brandon and Dylan.

Speaking on her new Netflix documentary, Pamela: A Love Story, the 55-year-old TV personality admitted she never thought about having children as she posed for Playboy.

After welcoming her sons, she had hoped to talk to them about it before they found out for themselves.

Unfortunately, her children were told about her career before she had a chance to tell them, and they also revealed they were mocked at school after her sex tape with her father and ex-husband Tommy Lee was stolen.

Pamela explained, “When I was in Playboy, I didn’t think I was going to have kids anytime soon and they would grow up and they’d be embarrassed.”

She continued, “But I always thought I’d tell them in an age-appropriate way — but I never had the opportunity — they always found out before I could actually talk to them about it… But a video of your parents having sex is another.” Level.’

Brandon, now 26, confessed: “When I was a kid I thought everyone knew things about me and my family that they should never have known. Everyone had this dirty little secret about my family.

“I just remember that at school I would fight very quickly if someone approached my mother. I would blush with anger.”

An emotional Pamela recalled, “I remember Dylan came to me one day after school in tears and was like, ‘Mom, why did you do the tape?’ I thought, “Oh god, really, we didn’t do a sex tape.”

Dylan, 25, then revealed that “it would have been a different story if she had redeemed the ribbon,” explaining, “She cared 100 percent that her family was okay and I was okay . She didn’t care about the money.’

Brandon added that he “wish” she had made money from the tape, noting, “She would have made millions of dollars, instead she sat back with nothing and watched her career fizzle out.”

Pamela has consistently stated that she and her ex never saw any money from the widely shared sextape.

The tape was stolen in 1995 by Rand Gauthier, an electrician who had worked at the couple’s home. After refusing to pay him for the work done, Tommy stole a giant safe from their garage.

It was only after he had a chance to review the contents that he learned the sex tape footage was locked in the safe.

The tape was later sourced by Seth Warshavsky, who initially streamed the video online before attempting to secure a distribution deal with Pamela and Tommy.

The couple eventually signed the agreement to relieve their stress over lawsuits, but the agreement — which Pam reportedly thought would limit distribution to the internet — ended up being a lot broader than she thought.

After the agreement was signed, Warshavsky then licensed the video to a video company to print physical copies for sale in adult stores.

Sales of the tape reportedly raised hundreds of millions of dollars, but none of that money got back to Pam and Tommy.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the couple then filed a physical distribution copyright lawsuit. Since they made the tape together – and not just starred in it – they were considered the copyright holders.

The pair were eventually awarded $740,000 each in a judgment against Warshavsky, but he reportedly paid neither.
