After violent storms overnight, northwest France and the English south coast are also threatened by strong winds and flooding on Thursday. According to the meteorological service Météo France, there is a risk of flooding caused by storm waves across the entire French Atlantic coast, the north coast and the eastern coast of the Mediterranean until dusk. The strongest winds from hurricane “Emir”, known internationally as “Ciaràn”, are expected to have passed in France in mid-morning.

High wind speeds were expected across the UK until mid-morning in the counties of Cornwall and Devon. “Emir” is expected to ravage the south-east coast, from Hampshire to Kent and Essex, into the evening. The British meteorological service Met Office warned of the danger to life caused by debris and falling trees.

A major incident was declared in the county of Hampshire by several ferry companies at midnight. Several ferry companies canceled their English Channel connections on Thursday. Flooding was expected along the coast. The British Coast Guard has warned people not to stay near the coast. On the island of Jersey in the English Channel, the weather service warned on Thursday night of gusts of wind that could reach speeds of almost 100 miles per hour in the early morning.

In France, train services were practically suspended on Thursday in the regions of Brittany, Normandy, Pays de la Loire, Hauts de France and Center Val de Loire. In three particularly hard-hit departments, Transport Minister Clément Beaune appealed to people not to use cars. Initially, trucks were also not allowed to circulate. In some cases, reduced maximum speeds should apply in road traffic. Communities reinforced dams and set up additional barricades near the coast on Wednesday.

According to media reports, there were power cuts in several places in France overnight and trees fell. One person was slightly injured in a traffic accident in the western department of Finistère. There were a series of fire department operations. Flights were unable to land at Nantes airport due to the weather and were diverted south to Toulouse.

Other countries are also expected to feel the drop on Thursday. Storm warnings were issued across much of the Netherlands. The Meteorological Institute expects gusts of up to 110 kilometers per hour on Thursday, especially on the coast. The ANWB car club has appealed to people to work from home on Thursday if possible. Extremely long traffic jams are expected due to strong winds and heavy rain.

In Belgium, parks and other forest areas must remain closed in some places as a precaution. According to the railway, there will be no trains running between France and Belgium on Thursday. According to the information, no trains should run between the city of Bruges and the North Sea coast; A speed limit applies to other trains. According to forecasts from the Royal Meteorological Institute, wind gusts of between 80 and 90 km/h are expected in Belgium in the east of the country and 100 to 110 km/h in the west.

Germany should also feel down, but only very weakly. The German Weather Service expects gusts of up to 85 kilometers per hour, especially at higher altitudes and on the North Sea coast, and up to 100 kilometers per hour in Brocken in the Harz mountains.

Israeli Authorities Announce Execution of Hamas Leader Prime Time Zone

Israel is conducting operations in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank

The defense authorities of Israel announced today the execution of another leader of the Palestinian group Hamas. The person identified as Muhammad A’sar held the position of head of the US antitank missile unit Hamas at Gaza Strip. According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), A’sar was in charge of all Hamas antitank missile units in the region and under his command several attacks were carried out against Israeli civilians and soldiers. So far, the Israeli army has announced the deaths of 11 Hamas leaders. Among them are Zachariah Abu Ma’amar, head of the internal relations office, responsible for the group’s decisionmaking and planning of the attacks; Joad Abu Shmalah, who worked in resource management and led a series of attacks against Israel; and Jamila alShant, widow of the group’s leader and cofounder, Abdel Aziz alRantisi.

The most recent execution took place on October 26, when the Israeli army killed Shadi Barud, considered “number 2” in Hamas intelligence. Barud was seen by Israel as the mastermind of the October 7 surprise attack against the Jewish state. The Israeli Defense Force’s actions are aimed at weakening Hamas’ leadership structure and preventing further attacks against the country. Hamas is considered a terrorist group by Israel and several countries around the world.

The fourth season of Mare Fuori is just around the corner. A small spoiler was published on RaiPlay. Here you will find out when we will see the new episodes.

The good fortune of this series was its move to Netflix in 2021. From that moment on, the general public actually started to get excited about the series and couldn’t help but follow it. On the occasion of the release of the third season Rai’s web platform has been taken by Mare Fuori fans by stormand collects never-before-seen viewership records.

In recent days there has been talk of the spoiler published by Rai, in which the commander and Edoardo discuss his future He saved himself after the attempted murder in the final episode of the third season. There are no further spoilers at the moment, but there are those who were lucky enough to attend the screening of the first two episodes. Speaking of new episodes, do you know when we’ll see them on TV? There are a lot of rumors, but we can give you some previews.

Mare Fuori 4, here you can find out when it will be broadcast on Rai channels

The adventures of the boys from the IPM of Naples have fascinated millions of viewers throughout Italy, but not only. Mare Fuori is a product that is sold all over the world and achieves great success everywhere. The third season was uploaded to RaiPlay in February 2023, at two different times while it aired on Rai Due from February 15th. The last episode aired on March 22, 2023.

The same thing will most likely happen this year too. Mare Fuori season 4 is scheduled to be available on RaiPlay in February 2024and then moved to Raidue a few weeks later. Like last year, the main cast members were able to take to the stage at the Ariston to promote the fourth season during the Sanremo Festival. It worked last year and production may repeat the experiment again.

As for the plot, it seems that there could be a love story that will take the viewers’ breath away, but there is also a lot of curiosity surrounding the character of Commander Massimo, played by Carmine Recano, who is left alone by the director, played by Carolina Crescentini in the first three seasons. We have to wait a few more months before diving into the fourth season of Mare Fuori. The production has already denied some rumors, but it will be difficult to prevent the public from knowing some of the background before the broadcast.

How do we properly nourish our spirit by Bob Gass

How do we properly nourish our spirit? by Bob Gass – The Thought of the Day – The Thought of the Day – TopChrétien – TopChrétien

How do we properly nourish our spirit?

Search the Scriptures

Brothers, pay attention to everything that is good and praiseworthy.
Philippians 4:8.

The Apostle Paul writes this to teach us how to nourish our spirit well. It says: “All that is true, decent, just, pure, pleasant and honorable.” John Ortberg writes: “What is striking about this ordinance is the phrase ‘all that is.’ Thoughts are malleable, but one has great freedom to pursue enriching thoughts.”

Like a bee finding nectar in all kinds of flowers, we are now free and even admonished to nourish our minds with noble thoughts wherever possible. The Bible itself tells us to keep looking to feed our spirit.

We just have to think of something beautiful: a sunset, a good novel, the face of a loved one, a melody that makes us dance. And let our thoughts linger there for a moment. Then we obeyed the Bible and opened our minds to the flow of the Holy Spirit. The goal is not to make us good at rest, but to guide and sublimate our thoughts and feelings through the Holy Spirit to anchor them in truth and life.

When we look at what is praiseworthy or honorable, we experience what a psychologist calls “exaltation.” We feel lighter. Our senses are stimulated and we want to become a better version of ourselves. This is part of obedience to the Scriptures. It’s spiritual.

Listen to the voice of God

Do you sometimes find it difficult to focus your thoughts on what makes you feel good? Let God inspire you to be calm and confident.

Through prayer, you can simply ask your Heavenly Father for help. Here is a sample prayer: “Lord, I desire with all my heart that my thoughts agree with your thoughts, I want them to agree with your will. Please help me to discern wisely and use my will to reject what does not come from You. Amen.”

Praise God

Praising God means showing our gratitude to him. Today you can thank Him because He is ready to help you grow in wisdom. (Read James 1:5 again) Bless him, for he does not condemn you, on the contrary, he is always at your side to encourage you!

Take action today

So how can you better nourish your mind? Give yourself the opportunity to think about beautiful things: by admiring nature or by choosing what you read or watch. Let the Holy Spirit guide you toward what feels good and make that a priority in your life.

Honor the Lord

Our journey for this day ends. Let us pray together to honor our God.

“Thank you, Lord, for your creation, it is a great source of inspiration and joy for me. Yours be the kingdom, the power and the glory, Amen!”

Tuition fees: Bishop’s sports teams threatened

More voices are being heard in Sherbrooke denouncing the government’s intention to increase tuition fees at English-speaking universities for students outside Quebec.

Current and former Bishop’s University athletes say they fear for the survival of many Gaiters teams.

Almost half of the athletes making up these teams come from other provinces.

In their opinion, their presence does not pose a threat to the French-speaking culture already established on campus.

Recording by TVA Nouvelles

The women’s hockey program is in its third year. Fourteen of the team’s 26 players come from outside the province. Some chose Bishop’s because of the size of the campus and its cultural diversity.

Originally from Ontario, Charley Wing probably would have chosen a university in his province if the tuition had been twice as high.

Matt McBrine barely spoke French when he came from New Brunswick to play soccer in the early 1990s. He is a perfect example of integration. Thirty years later, he is the university’s athletic director.

Recording by TVA Nouvelles

“I married a woman I met here on campus. Today she teaches French and we have two fully bilingual daughters,” he said.

Almost half of the 330 athletes who make up the ten sports teams come from outside Quebec.

Without access to scholarships that match tuition fees, the best would not have chosen Bishop’s.

If the government does not change course, certain sports will disappear.

Recording by TVA Nouvelles

Gordon Glass is originally from Lennoxville. His father was deputy rector of the university.

The Ohio resident’s two sons play lacrosse. They preferred to pursue their academic careers at Bishop rather than at an American university.

“They were looking for a unique experience, mixing different cultures, including Quebecois, in an ideal environment due to the small size of the campus.”

As an English-speaking institution, Bishop’s has always supported French-speaking culture within its student community.

Sport is an essential part of the bonds of belonging on campus and, above all, does not pose a threat to French-speaking culture, emphasized Matt McBrine.

The CH can and must pursue higher goals

The CH can (and must) pursue higher goals

Like many observers and supporters, I didn’t expect the Canadians to get off to such a good start. Let’s hope for their sake that they continue on the same path and continue to believe in it.

It’s always better to have a strong start to the season than to constantly find yourself on your heels. It sets the tone for the future. It creates a pleasant atmosphere within the group and increases the interest of the fans. In short: everyone wins.

The team’s excellent performance so far can be explained by the good preparation of Martin St-Louis and his assistants, but above all by the performance of the goalkeepers. Jake Allen and Samuel Montembeault greatly helped their teammates’ cause by stringing together quality performances.

I’m impressed with the way they behave. If your goalkeepers are at the right level, you have a great chance of winning. It also allows you to hide certain defects. We see this particularly with penguins. Tristan Jarry is struggling in front of the net and that is reflected in the results.

Apart from the goalkeepers, what I particularly like is the attitude and fighting spirit of all the players. All credit goes to them. We feel like the chemistry in the team is great. Victories certainly play a big role. It’s always more pleasant to go to the arena every day when you’re successful. The winning context changes the entire situation.

Like all teams, the Canadiens will face adversity at some point. There’s nothing wrong with that, it’s normal. The important thing is to react well. And the good start to the season gives you the confidence to get through it quickly.

Exemplary veterans

St-Louis must be proud of their club, which is one of the best in the league in the five-on-five system. Strength play is also your foundation. It shows that your structure is effective both defensively and offensively. We have seen great progress on this point since last season. This is encouraging for the future.

In the ongoing rebuilding process, the team is one of the young people, but the importance of the veterans cannot be ignored. Young people need good examples from experienced players to learn how to become true professionals. This is a very important element for their development. It only takes one unfortunate veteran to cause damage to the entire party.

On offense, Sean Monahan is proving to be a key figure, be it on the power play, without a man, or in the faceoff circles, where he shines. Your contribution is therefore crucial.

Another example is Tanner Pearson. I think he did well with Monahan and Brendan Gallagher, even though we didn’t expect much from him.

Josh Anderson also shows his usefulness. He has a lot of chances to score. If you try it, it will work eventually! He is a determined player, fast, imposing and difficult to counter.

We must not forget David Savard. The Quebec defender is “the ultimate warrior” who is not afraid to sacrifice his body night after night for the good of the team.

It makes for a good mix with young guys like Cole Caufield, Nick Suzuki and Kaiden Guhle. Caufield is proving he is a natural goalscorer, Suzuki is starting to gain momentum and Guhle is showing exceptional maturity for his age. It’s rare for a 21-year-old defender to play against the opposition’s best players and be able to keep up like that.

You have to come out strong

After shining against the Golden Knights on Monday, the Canadiens were able to spend plenty of time together before facing the Coyotes tonight.

They need to put together another big performance in Arizona and take advantage of the fact that the Coyotes played in Anaheim yesterday. You must start the game with the same intensity as the previous one.

Having established a standard of quality against the Stanley Cup champions, we now need to raise the bar one step higher. The Canadians proved in Las Vegas that they are capable of achieving higher goals. Believing in that is already a good start.
