Strictly Come Dancing 2022 Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu lead

Strictly Come Dancing 2022: Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu lead the rankings again with 34 points

Strictly Come Dancing’s third live show of the series arrived on BBC One on Saturday night, with the 15 couples facing the series’ first public vote.

After giving it their all on the dance floor last week, the celebs got back into a new routine thanks to the Movie Week Special in week three as things kicked into gear.

And at the top of the rankings were Tyler West and Dianne Buswell, who performed with their Charleston to Flash, Bang, Wallop! scored an impressive 38 out of 40 points! from half a sixpence.

The pair were praised with a series of positive comments from four judges Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke, Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse.

With two 10s, Motsi expressed that she loved “the lack of empty spaces in the routine” and called the routine “amazing.”

Fresh off their success last week, Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu performed a Waltz to One Hand, One Heart from West Side Story.

And the pair were once again delighted with their score, which raked in an impressive 34 out of 40 points.

Molly and Carlos took to the dance floor in glamorous ensembles, with Shirley describing them as “a partnership made in heavy.”

The other judges agreed, with Anton Du Beke telling Molly, “You’re beautiful to watch dance”.

Richie and Giovanni, who placed second in last week’s leaderboard, sambaed to Hakuna Matata from The Lion King.

The pair took to the dance floor in animal costumes as they played legendary capybara Pumbaa and meerkat Timon.

With 27 out of 40 points, Shirley Bassey’s performance was called “one of your best numbers yet”.

The pair appeared united throughout the show and appeared to shrug off recent rumors of a behind-the-scenes altercation – after reports they “didn’t click” off-camera.

Craig Revel Horwood didn’t seem as impressed as Shirley when he claimed the steps “needed more bounce,” but he “loved the characterization.”

Kym Marsh and her partner Graziano Di Prima performed the Charleston on Sweet Charity’s If My Friends Could See Me Now.

With her highest score to date, 33 out of 40, Craig called it her “best dance yet,” with Shirley agreeing, claiming it might be the best dance on the show.

Kym and Graziano appeared delighted with her score as he lifted her up and swung her around – after the star earlier this week expressed concerns about the spinning nature of the dance due to her vertigo.

She previously explained: “Well you see I have visual vertigo. I had a problem with my ears about 6 years ago and it caused me visual dizziness so basically even moving lights make me feel weird.

Before hitting the dance floor, her daughter said in the audience: “As she watched her confidence grow, she struggled with nerves for the first two weeks and was getting on with everything, but this week she texted me that she’s enjoying it . We’re so proud, she’s going to smash it.’

Next, Hamza Yassin and Jowita Przystal danced the rumba to the theme from Jurassic Park.

The cameraman, who explained he “enjoyed the rumba,” and his professional partner scored 25 out of 40 points this week.

Again voicing his touch criticism, Craig “thought it was too placed and needed more expression” as “it was a bit boring”.

Ellie Taylor and Johannes Radebe took to the dance floor and played the cha cha cha to The Shoop Shoop Song (It’s In His Kiss) by Mermaids.

The pair scored 21 out of 40, putting them at the bottom end of the rankings – with Craig telling the pair it “looked stuffy”.

Anton thought there was a lot to like, but there is a “fundamental bottom-bottom failure”.

Next came Matt Goss and Nadiya Bychkova, who found themselves in the dance-off last week but dancing the Viennese waltz to Top Gun’s Hold My Hand.

Anton acknowledged Matt’s improvement over last week as he thought it was a “big improvement but a bit loose”.

The couple collected 21 points out of 40, which they didn’t seem too thrilled about compared to 22 points last week.

The show began with a sensational group performance by the professional dancers to the viral song We Don’t Talk About Bruno.

With a plethora of movie themes to choose from over the years, this week’s songs were a mixed bag of movie soundtracks from The Full Monty and Top Gun to Dirty Dancing and The Little Mermaid!

Strictly Come Dancing week 3 scoreboard

Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu: Dancing a Waltz to One Hand – 34 points out of 40

Matt Goss and Nadiya Bychkova: Dancing the Vienna Waltz to Hold My Hand – 21 out of 40 points

After their incredible debut in week one, Will Mellor and Nancy Xu were hoping to impress again with their Dirty Dancing American Smooth to Cry To Me.

The other high scorers Hamza Yassin and Jowita Przystal heat up with a sizzling rumba on the theme from Jurassic Park.

Elsewhere, Tony Adams was no doubt hoping to score big with his and Katya Jones’ Samba to You Sexy Thing from The Full Monty.

While Matt Goss was striving to climb up the rankings with his and Nadiya Bychkova’s “Viennese Waltz to Hold My Hand” from Top Gun: Maverick.

On last week’s show, Molly and Carlos topped the leaderboard with an impressive score of 34 out of 40 with their Quickstep performance as they wrapped up the show.

The duo took to the dance floor in bright pastel suits as they did a quick step to a cover of Beyonce’s Love on Top – which Molly admitted was her “favourite song”.

Second in the leaderboard were Richie Anderson and Giovanni Pernice, who took to the dance floor with a quickstep dance.

Scored 32 out of 40, just two below Molly, the performance was described as “absolutely beautiful” by judge Motsi Mabuse.

Meanwhile, Fleur East got emotional after her performance and shed a tear as she admitted emotions had “pent up” over the week.

Elsewhere, there was a tripartite split at the bottom of the rankings, with Tony Adams, Kaye Adams and Matt Goss all scoring just 22 out of 40 points.

In the end, however, it was Kaye Adams who was the first contestant to drop out of the series.

The Loose Women star and her pro partner Kai Widdrington failed to impress with their Charleston to Music! Music! Music! by Dorothy Provine.

The couple joined singer Matt Goss and his partner Nadiya Bychkova in the dance-off, with the network eventually giving her the marching orders.

After three of the four judges decided to vote her out, Kaye admitted it was the “correct result.”

With another star set to lose his spot on the show this week, the pressure will be on as the remaining contestants attempt to make it to week four’s BBC Centenary Special.

Strictly Come Dancing resumes on Sunday at 19:15 on BBC One – when a couple is eliminated from the competition for the first time this season.

Lucas Souza announces the end of his marriage to Jojo Todynho

Jojo Todynho and Lucas Souza’s marriage ended after 10 months. The announcement was made by the military in a post on its Instagram profile this afternoon. In the text, Lucas claims to be going through the most difficult phase of his life.

“Not only love is a relationship. Respect, loyalty and gratitude are essential!” he began. Then the military broke the news, citing the suffering he was going through.

“Out of respect for the people who care for the couple and with much heartache going through the most difficult period of my life being in a place where I have no one, I inform you that Jordana and I no have been married longer!”

“I ask you to respect this moment of pain, which is not easy for me! I wish her all the happiness in the world and that she continues with this light and charisma that only she has,” he concluded.

Lucas and Jojo got married in a ceremony in Rio de Janeiro in January this year. They even tried to conceive, but in July they decided to postpone their plans for a baby.

The union has been the subject of controversy, mainly due to the difference in purchasing power between them. However, Lucas always denied being endorsed by his thenwife.

Opening of the National Bank handover of power from Eugene

Opening of the National Bank: handover of power from Eugène Lapierre to Valérie Tétreault formalized

This was confirmed by the manager of the National Bank of Montreal Open, Eugène Lapierre, on Thursday, as became known The newspaperthat he will vacate his position in favor of former player Valérie Tétreault, who is now acting as special adviser.

• Also read: National Bank Open: Valérie Tétreault succeeds Eugène Lapierre

The two main prospects also met the journalists during a press conference on Thursday at the Tennis Canada headquarters in the IGA Stadium. It is therefore a new stage of the event that begins with the arrival of Tétreault, former communications director of the national federation and former professional player.

“I can’t wait to start this new chapter in my career and pass on my love of tennis,” she said in a press release. I’ve lived and breathed tennis since I was a kid and my passion for the sport has only grown through my work at Tennis Canada. I am excited for the future and look forward to working with my colleagues and our sponsors, partners, volunteers and fans to continue to advance the tournament and our sport for the benefit of all Canadians.”

Face known to the public

Whoever tennis fans have been able to hear during numerous professional games on the TVA Sports channel will also become the primary spokesperson for tennis in Quebec and continue to oversee Tennis Canada’s national communications.

“I couldn’t be happier to pass the racquet to Valérie,” said Lapierre. I’ve known her since the beginning of her playing career, as a junior and as a top professional. I saw his passion for our sport, his skills, his professionalism and his innate ability to lead people. I look forward to continuing to work with her in the years to come.”

-Tétreault rose to No. 112 in the world in 2010 and has 13 Canadian junior titles. She was a member of Canada’s Billie Jean King Cup team from 2007 to 2010 and retired in late 2010 at the age of 22. She joined Tennis Canada in 2011 as Communications Coordinator and became Director of that department in 2018.

By handing over his post as director of the National Bank Open in Montreal to Valérie Tétreault, Eugène Lapierre is closing a chapter in the history of the tournament he started at the beginning of this century.

A prominent figure in tennis in Quebec, he was in charge of the event from 2001 and will give up his seat to retire at the end of a successful 2022 edition following the pandemic and consequent cancellations. Except that the challenges presented themselves long before that. From the start he had big footsteps to fill, namely those of Richard Legendre, who tried his luck in politics.

“When I abruptly left Tennis Canada in the spring of 2001, I remember telling then-President of Tennis Canada Bob Moffatt that I believed Eugene was ready for the job… and I had never said it so well . With his creativity and vision, he always takes the Montreal tournament to new heights of excellence,” Legendre said of his successor in an interview broadcast on the National Bank Open website last year.

Certainly the former player has helped promote his sport at the provincial level, most notably as director of the Granby Challenger and the Canadian Junior Tennis Open in Repentigny. Additionally, the Granbyen had a ringside seat to say yes to holding a WTA 250 category event at his stronghold this season.

On the other hand, his involvement in the world of tennis began long before that, he has been part of the Tennis Canada team since 1993. If the Montreal tournament, formerly known as the Rogers Cup, has skyrocketed in popularity, it’s thanks in part to Lapierre.

“For 20 years, despite the many challenges and multiple upheavals of the two professional circles, Eugène has shown leadership and vision to constantly improve the National Bank Open and make it the meeting place par excellence for tennis fans, the WTA and the ATP.” The President of Tennis Quebec, Réjean Genois, told the same website.

The recent tournament, held in Montreal in the presence of the best players in the men’s world, attracted more than 237,000 people.

A project to finish

Obviously, the boss would have liked to do other things before he left, including the project to cover the IGA stadium with a retractable roof. As viewers have seen a number of times this year, rain can be frustrating for everyone involved and lead to major delays. Also, Lapierre mentioned to the Journal de Montréal in August that the project was settled with the levels of government before the outbreak of COVID-19.

With inflation and other factors not helping, the bill has since been increased and work on raising awareness among policymakers needs to be done again, he says.

“We also have to remember that we’ve lost a lot of money to the pandemic and that’s where we’re in the process of building back up. So we’re putting that on hold. It’s certain that our priorities lie elsewhere, but we certainly haven’t given up that hope for a covered stadium,” he recalled.

North Korea fires suspected ballistic missile, Japanese PM says

CNN —

North Korea shot down a suspected ballistic missile, the Japanese government said on Sunday.

The Japan Coast Guard reported that the possible ballistic missile from North Korea appears to have already fallen.

The Coast Guard instructed ships to heed information and stay away from objects that had fallen into the sea. She also asked the ships to report all relevant information.

On Tuesday, without warning, North Korea fired another missile that flew over and past Japan, prompting Japan to warn its citizens to take shelter.

The rocket flew over northern Japan early in the morning and is said to have landed in the Pacific Ocean. The last time North Korea fired a ballistic missile over Japan was in 2017.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken warned that if North Korea continues “down this path” of provocation after launching ballistic missiles on Tuesday, “it will only increase condemnation, increase isolation and increase steps taken in response to their actions.”

The US imposed new sanctions on Friday after North Korea recently tested ballistic missiles, the US Treasury and State Departments said.

North Korea normally fires its missiles into waters off the coast of the Korean Peninsula, making Tuesday’s flight over Japan considerably more provocative.

Excluding Sunday’s alleged launch, North Korea has launched six missiles in the past two weeks, an increase even in a year with the highest number of launches since leader Kim Jong Un came to power in 2011.

The aggressive acceleration of weapons testing has raised alarms in the region, prompting the US, South Korea and Japan to respond with missile launches and joint military exercises. The US has also moved an aircraft carrier in waters near the peninsula, a move South Korean authorities described as “very unusual”.

This is breaking news and will be updated.

Trumps Truth Social is a right wing echo chamber says Elon

Trump’s Truth Social is a ‘right-wing echo chamber’, says Elon Musk: ‘Might as well call it a trumpet’

Amid renewed plans to buy Twitter, Tesla CEO Elon Musk fired a shot at Donald Trump’s social media platform Truth Social, calling it a “right-wing echo chamber” in an interview with the Financial Times.

“It might as well be called a trumpet,” Musk said.

Musk said that Truth Social suggests that social media is fragmenting into various politically charged silos. His comments echo earlier ones he made last summer against Twitter’s decision to ban Donald Trump after the Jan. 6 Capitol riot because his tweets incited violence.

“I don’t think it was right to ban Donald Trump. I think that was a mistake because it alienated a large part of the country and didn’t result in Donald Trump having no voice,” Musk said at the time.

Musk has spent the last few months in a legal battle with Twitter after backing out of plans to acquire the social media platform over claims Twitter hadn’t done enough to delete bot accounts on the site. Now, less than two weeks before Musk and Twitter were due to face trial over the rejected deal, Musk is again offering to buy the site for $44 billion, the same suggested price originally offered in April.

“I don’t do Twitter for the money. It’s not like I’m trying to buy a yacht and I can’t afford it,” Musk told the Financial Times. “I don’t own boats. But I think it’s important that people have the most trusted and inclusive means of sharing ideas possible, and that it should be as trustworthy and transparent as possible.”

While a judge delayed the trial over the new proposal, Musk gave until Oct. 28 to finalize the deal. But Twitter says they can’t trust the billionaire’s offer to be in good faith, calling Musk’s offer an “invitation to further mischief and delay” in new court filings Thursday.

The story goes on
