The United States has decided to accelerate the deployment of B6112 nuclear bombs on NATO bases in Europe from December next year.

These improved bombs should not arrive in the old continent until the second quarter of 2023.

US officials announced their intention to NATO allies at a closed meeting in Brussels this month, Politico reported, citing sources. The decision comes amid rising tensions over Russia’s threats to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine.

Such a move will require the replacement of obsolete B61 nuclear bombs with a newer B6112 version at various storage sites in Europe for possible use by US and allied bombers and fighters.

Dog caught running with human head in mouth in Mexico – after cartel message found next to body nearby

Residents of a city in north-central Mexico were stunned when they saw a dog running down the street with a human head in its mouth.

Officials in the violence-ridden state of Zacatecas confirmed the incident and said Thursday police finally managed to rip the dog’s head off.

A police officer, who was not authorized to be named, said the head and other body parts were left in an ATM booth in the town of Monte Escobedo late Wednesday.

The human remains were left with a message referring to a drug cartel. But before the police could act, a stray dog made off with the corpse’s head.

A video posted to social media showed the dog trotting down a dark street, holding its head in its jaws by the neck, apparently intent on taking it to a safe place to eat.

Zacatecas was the scene of a bloody, widespread turf war between local gangs backed by the Sinaloa and Jalisco drug cartels.

Drug cartels in Mexico often leave notes next to piles of dismembered human remains to intimidate rivals or authorities.

In June, the bodies of seven men were found in a popular tourist area with warning labels written on their bodies relating to the Gulf Cartel, which operates primarily along the US border to the north.

In April, six severed heads were reportedly discovered on a car roof in Mexico, with a sign warning others, “This will happen to anyone who messes around.”

But sometimes food or personal products put your health at risk. Which leads us to ask how safe do you think it is to use dry shampoo? Most Americans don’t think twice when using this seemingly harmless product. That may have just changed.

Unilever, the maker of many of our favorite brands on the shelves, has officially recalled over a dozen aerosol-based dry shampoo products. Why? Benzene, a dangerous carcinogen, is the common denominator here. Here’s what you need to know.

Here’s the backstory

The convenience of dry shampoo is undeniable, but the Unilever recall proves that even the most innocuous household products can hide unseen dangers.

The recalled products on this list are due to the possible presence of benzene. Benzene is a human carcinogen and can cause cancer when exposed to large amounts. These products are not believed to contain large amounts of benzene, but are being recalled as a precautionary measure.

This product recall affects Unilever products in both the United States and Canada. The following products are affected by the voluntary recall:

Dove Dry Shampoo Ultra Clean.

Suave Dry Shampoo Hair Freshener.

Thankfully, no customers have reported product-related complaints. The group took these products off the shelves as a precaution. If you have any of these products in your household, stop using them as soon as possible.

What’s the deal with benzene?

Benzene is used as a propellant in dry shampoo. When used indoors, spraying of benzene-rich products contaminates the home and has been shown to cause many health problems with frequent use.

Benzene itself is a pale, transparent substance that is incredibly flammable. Derived from crude oil, you can find it in goods made from resin, plastic, nylon, rubber and even pharmaceuticals, dyes, detergents and pesticides.

While benzene is a common compound in our modern world (it’s also present in cigarette smoke), it’s wise to minimize your exposure to the chemical whenever possible.

How to avoid toxic chemicals in household goods

Keeping your home safe and free from carcinogens like benzene isn’t always easy. Sometimes the dangerous stuff isn’t even in the product formula.

Some ways you can avoid bringing harmful compounds home with you are:

Use home remedies like baking soda and vinegar instead of harsh cleaning products like bleach and other harsh chemicals.
Go for BPA-free packaging, which is most relevant when shopping for groceries.
Replace plastic and rubber in your kitchen with glass and metal utensils and containers.
Just say no to Teflon and other brands of non-stick cookware.
Go for the unscented alternative whenever possible (brands like Dove usually offer something unscented and hypoallergenic for those with sensitive skin).

Air fresheners, hand sanitizers and other amenities can be expensive. Clean your home of things that could be making you and your family ill and of course stay up to date when it comes to product recalls like the one above.

As the league celebrates its tenth anniversary, the primetime slot is a big deal

CBS Sports spoke to Portland Thorns captain Christine Sinclair and midfielder Crystal Dunn about the occasion.

The moment will see a new level of excitement for players who have competed in previous NWSL championships. Portland Thorns FC captain and Canada international Christine Sinclair played in the first-ever NWSL championship in 2013 and believes the event will generate plenty of excitement and attention on the CBS network.

“We’ve both been fortunate to have played in some pretty big games in our careers and that extra presence is exactly what women’s football needs,” said Sinclair.

“It just adds extra excitement. I was lucky enough to play in the first championship game and I don’t think anyone outside of the Portland folks knew the game was happening. So I would say it’s what this league is, it’s what we deserve as players. This, women’s sport in general, all they need is a chance. People will watch, people will come if they have the chance. In order for this game to be in prime time – on a major network – it will just happen to continue to expand the game to continue to inspire young viewers. I am a firm believer that young children need to be able to see to believe it can happen. For this game to be available in prime time is an exciting game for the future.”

United States national team player and Thorns midfielder Dunn scored the deciding goal in the semifinals to win Portland at the NWSL Championship for the fourth time. Dunn has appeared in three previous finals and has spoken about the development of the finale, which made it to prime time.

“I think it sets a new standard. This game is in prime time [TV] is unbelievable. That’s what you expect every year,” Dunn said.

“We want to celebrate that, but I think we’d be doing a huge disservice if we don’t push the standard further and drop back to a level where we were before, so I think it’s incredible… That’s exactly that.” what we wanted for women’s football at that point in time. So I think it’s great to just push forward and continue with the change and help to further develop the game [in] Primetime, it’s just going to bring more awareness back to this game.”
