The La Equidad de Colombia forward acknowledged the guilt the blue and white team owed this championship and was thrilled to break the losing streak.

“I like this challenge that we haven’t won in 29 games,” said the Colombian player. Sabbag also said that playing the Copa Libertadores is a dream and he already wants it to start. The new trusted striker also spoke about the delay in starting Peruvian football. “It hurts us all. The colleagues who are going to start playing the previous phase come without competition and that’s not right,” he said.

In this sense, the 25-year-old player said that the delay in starting Liga 1 in 2023 could hurt Peruvian teams as some clubs will already play international tournaments, especially in the preliminary stages of the Copa Libertadores. Nonetheless, the striker is aware of the social and political issues Peru are facing, which he stated puts this first.
