Aden, Yemen, 31.07. (Prensa Latina) The serious food situation in Yemen has worsened in recent months due to soaring food prices on the world market, NGO Oxfam warned today.

IAF commander Tomer Bar conducted an assessment of the matter and ordered the 33 devices of this type to be examined in the coming days, the agency said in a statement.

Bar stressed that the investigations must be conducted rigorously and comprehensively, the text added.

The move came a day after the US Air Force announced it would temporarily park its F-35s due to a problem with the shells used to detonate ejection seats in an emergency.

The Air Force Times newspaper reported that the Pentagon discovered the problem in April but waited three months to conduct ground flights while the case was investigated.

According to the publication, 2,700 ejection seat cartridges have since been tested and three failures found.

Israel has agreed to purchase at least 50 F-35s from Lockheed Martin, 33 of which have already been delivered.
