‘I won’t lie’: Orlando Bloom admits his relationship with Katy Perry can be ‘really challenging’ but that ‘there’s definitely never a dull moment’
Orlando Bloom admitted in a candid interview that his relationship with his “baby mom and life partner,” Katy Perry, can be “really challenging.”
While reflecting on their differences, the 46-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean star revealed that his fiancée, 38, is “stressed” about the dangerous side of his job.
“We definitely fight with our emotions and our creativity, [but] I think we both realize how blessed we are that we connected in a unique way like we did back then and there’s definitely never a dull moment,” she continued.
Bloom went on to tell Flaunt Magazine that dealing with the American Idol judge has been her biggest challenge over the years due to her demanding work schedules.
“We’re in two very different pools,” he explained. “Her pool isn’t a pool that I necessarily understand, and I don’t think mine is a pool that she necessarily understands.”

He concluded: “Sometimes things are really, really, really challenging. I won’t lie.”
The duo were first linked romantically in 2016 after meeting at the Golden Globes before going on hiatus in March 2017.
“I had spent so much and it literally broke me in half. I broke up with my boyfriend who is now my baby daddy-to-be,” she told SiriusXM CBC radio.
Ultimately, she attributes gratitude for saving her life and her relationship with God.
Less than a year later, they rekindled their relationship.
After getting back together, the Chained To The Rhythm singer told Footwear News magazine that Bloom was “a great anchor” in her life.
“For some reason I’m attracted to people who are really genuine and ask me about things when I’m cuckoo,” she noted.
They got engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2019 before welcoming daughter Daisy Dove on August 26, 2020.

“We float with love and wonder at the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter,” they said in a statement to UNICEF at the time. “But we know we’re the lucky ones and not everyone can experience a birth as peaceful as ours.”
Last month, Perry paid tribute to Bloom’s ex-wife Miranda Kerr, who is the mother of his firstborn child, Flynn.
After attending the 20th Annual G’Day USA Arts Gala in Los Angeles in January, Perry shared pictures and videos with Kerr, whom she described as “another gentleman’s sister” and “favorite Aussie.”
