Seven months after America’s basic national right to abortion was repealed, thousands of anti-abortion activists gathered in Washington yesterday (local time) for their annual “March for Life.”

They carried signs reading “Pray for an end to abortion” and “Love life – choose life” and a cross reading “In memory of aborted children”.
Contested decision of the Federal Supreme Court
In June, the US Supreme Court, with its conservative majority of justices, passed the historic decision “Roe v. Wade,” which enshrined a fundamental national right to abortion. This gave states the right to severely restrict or ban abortion. Numerous conservative states have already done so.
The Supreme Court’s decision in June on the highly controversial issue of abortion rights triggered a political earthquake. She was hailed by abortion advocates and outraged by abortion advocates.
