One UI 5 (Android 13) beta arrives on a new batch of Samsung smartphones

Samsung has apparently started rolling out the One UI 5.0 beta to its mid-range Galaxy A range. Until then, only the top of the brand’s range was entitled to it.

The final version of Android 13 has arrived on Google Pixels and the overlays from the various manufacturers will follow in the coming months. At the moment only betas are provided on certain smartphones. With One UI 5.0 (based on Android 13) at Samsung, only the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S22 were entitled to the beta of this interface with its share of new features. Some users report that they have successfully installed One UI 5.0 Beta with a Galaxy A.

The Galaxy A52s claim One UI 5.0 ahead of the rest

As reported by Android Central, some Samsung Galaxy A52 users have reported that they are eligible for the One UI 5 beta program. Unfortunately, this update is only possible for non-5G Galaxy A52 models in India (the version of the firmware is A525FXXU4ZVIC /A525FODM4ZVIC/A525FXXU4ZCIB ). A fairly heavy change since the update weighs about 2GB.

The update is accessible to users in India through the Samsung Members app. It should be noted that this is not a stable version and therefore it is not recommended to install it as some features and/or applications may not work properly.

High-ends are no longer the only Samsung claiming Android 13

We can imagine that the Galaxy A52 won’t be the only mid-range smartphone from Samsung to benefit from a One UI 5.0 beta. It remains its 5G version or the Galaxy A33 released last March.

However, Samsung has not warned against the use of its interface on the Galaxy A52, nor is it known what the program is for the future. According to Android Central, “Reports indicate that it (the Galaxy A53 5G) may be the only mid-range Galaxy smartphone to receive the stable Android 13 update before 2023.”

Also, the delivery of the final version of the overlay should be earlier in the year compared to One UI 4.0. This new version should offer smoother animations and advanced Wi-Fi options, in addition to what’s new in Android 13.
