Holland and Poland open the World Cup as hosts against Kenya and Croatia
The Netherlands and hosts Poland today open the Volleyball World Championship, which ends on October 15 with the gold and bronze final in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands. 24 teams in pursuit of the title which went to Serbia in 2018 who overtook the Blues in the final. Italy plays Cameroon tomorrow (3pm CEST). Today’s program: at 6 p.m. Poland-Croatia; at 20 Holland-Kenya.
The formula

During the first 10 days of the tournament, the 24 qualifying teams will be divided into four groups (or pools). The first 4 of each group move on to the second phase. The remaining 16 teams are divided into two groups and play four games against teams that did not face each other in the first phase. The top four in each group advance to the quarterfinals.
