Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher’s custom ‘Silver Sparkle’ guitar will sell for up to half a million pounds at a memorabilia auction taking place on Friday.

The Gibson Les Paul Florentine guitar is just one of several iconic pieces from music history to be put up for sale at the Propstore Entertainment auction, taking place November 3-6 in London.

Noel described the guitar as “the best in the world” and was used many times in 1997 and 1998 for recording and live performances.

It is one of his main guitars from the Oasis era and is said to be “Noel Gallagher’s most used and documented guitar outside of his personal collection”. It also comes with a white ‘Oasis’ stencil on the protective case.

Also up for grabs are the written lyrics to their hit ballad Wonderwall, written by Noel, 55, which could set the lucky bidder back around £6,000.

The 1995 song is probably the most popular of the Manchester rock band’s other handwritten lyrics for sale.

These include Champagne Supernova, the final track on the band’s second album (What’s The Story) Morning Glory?.

There are also other miscellaneous instruments in the London auction, which will take place online from Friday afternoon.

The eye-catching Fake London Genius piece is also embellished with various cartoon motifs and cashmere patches sewn onto the jacket, including a trophy, lion, crown and UK map.

A tarnished metal zip runs down the front of the jacket, and the hood also has a similar zip that runs down the center.

The rehearsal notes, which the Oasis guitarist uses to remember the words of the 1995 hit, are part of a music and film auction that begins this afternoon.

Other entertainment industry items up for grabs include the Bedford ice cream truck used by Britpop band Blur on their Magic Whip tour in 2015.

Another highly coveted piece is the 1970 license for Elvis Presley’s Colt revolver and a Beretta automatic pistol.
