A few minutes ago, Nvidia published the product sheet for the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, which will be officially announced in the coming days. And that will not surprise many: the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti has exactly the technical characteristics of the first announced and then canceled GeForce RTX 4080 12 GB.
The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti embeds 7680 computing units and 12 GB of GDDR6X for a boost frequency of 2.61 GHz.
A graphic even gives an idea of the performance compared to the GeForce RTX 3080 12 GB of the previous generation. Nvidia thus announces double the performance, even more when DLSS 3.0 is activated – be careful, however, the previous generation is not compatible with this technology introduced with the RTX 40.
It’s also possible to consult the graphics released by Nvidia when the RTX 4080 12GB was announced to get a more accurate idea of the beast’s performance. Back then, the RTX 3090 Ti served as the benchmark, and the GeForce RTX 3080 12GB – sorry, the Geforce RTX 4070 Ti – played cat and mouse with this older-gen model on current games.
All that remains is to wait for the official announcement of the Geforce RTX 4070 Ti, which will take place at CES in Las Vegas, and the tests that should follow quickly.
