The superstar's new album, Pink Friday 2, reached No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 chart with 228,000 album equivalent units.
It is her third number-one album, following Pink Friday in 2010 and Roman Reloaded in 2012. This makes her the rapper with the most number-one albums in history, ending her tie with Foxy Brown.
Billboard confirmed that Pink Friday 2 also had the best sales week of any album released by a female rapper to date in the 2020s.
Many stars contributed to her album, including Drake, Lil Wayne, J. Cole, Future, Murda Beatz and Billie Eilish's brother and collaborator Finneas.
On December 11, the star announced a world tour in support of Pink Friday 2, which will see her perform in the US, Europe and the UK.
