Félix Auger-Aliassime is a player valued and respected by other players on the ATP circuit. Nick Kyrgios is part of this group. He didn’t hesitate to throw flowers towards the ninth player in the world.

After a question from another Montrealer, the Australian’s response was long and heartfelt.
“He’s an excellent player,” Kyrgios said of the Quebecer. This is important for our sport.
“If you look at him, he’s a very marketable person. He has a nice personality. The way he plays tennis is very exciting.”
A great trust
Kyrgios also noticed the 22-year-old’s strength of character.
“He’s a young man who’s very confident,” added the Australian. There are no limits for someone like him.
“He works very hard. We took part in the Laver Cup together. Every day I observed his professionalism and the way he analyzed the games. He loves tennis. He is a student of our sport.
“He loves to analyze other players. If he doesn’t do stupid things like me at his age, he can achieve more than me. He was able to win several Grand Slams. He’s an excellent player.”
In search of a win
Kyrgios has not defeated Auger-Aliassime since the beginning of his career (0-2).
It’s a bit surprising. The Australian still has favorable records against the likes of Daniil Medvedev and Novak Djokovic.
“I injured myself during one of those games,” said Kyrgios. He hit me once. I think he’s one of those special players who can do great things on and off the field.
“It’s bigger than tennis. I think he will have a bigger impact than just in the world of tennis.”
