Recall that on December 8, 2022, TMZ reported that Carter, 43, was sued by Shannon Ruth for sexual assault.

The alleged events allegedly took place in 2001 and involve a woman with autism and cerebral palsy. She was 17 then.

According to new documents obtained by TMZ, Nick Carter is suing the woman for $2.35 million, claiming the plaintiff caused the group to lose that amount.

“Nick is the target of a vicious and endless conspiracy. He never committed the crimes he was accused of; In addition, he is the victim of a disinformation campaign created to destroy his reputation,” his attorney, Michael Holtz, told TMZ.

The media tried to get comment from the alleged victim’s lawyers, but received no response.
