The Boston Bruins earned their third straight triumph after a convincing 6-2 win over the New York Islanders on Saturday night at the TD Garden in Boston.

Bruins forwards Nick Foligno, Jake Debrusk and Trent Frederic, and defenseman Charlie McAvoy each had two points.
Patrice Bergeron and Pavel Zacha made their contribution during the duel by defeating the Islanders goalkeeper Semyon Varlamov, who redirected 17 of the 22 pucks in his direction.
Bruins goalie Linus Ullmark had another strong night at work, retiring just twice from 28 times.
At the Islanders’ camp, Kyle Palmieri and Matt Martin were the only ones who breached the Ullmark Wall.
The Blue Jackets surprise the stars
Quebec’s Mathieu Olivier traveled there with a performance of three points, a goal and two assists to help the Blue Jackets defeat the powerful Dallas Stars 4-1 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
It’s the best career performance for the man, who played his 99th game in the National Hockey League (NHL).
Liam Foudy opened the celebrations with his first career goal. The Ontarian grabbed a loose puck near the semicircle from Dallas goaltender Scott Wedgewood.
Ty Dellandrea scored the only goal for the Texan team.
Ohio goalie Joonas Korpisalo was sensational during the duel. The 28-year-old masked man stood up 28 times during the 29 shots fired by Peter DeBoer’s squad.
Hischier shines against the penguins
New Jersey Devils forward Nico Hishier prevailed with a four-point evening to lead Lindy Ruff’s side to a 5-2 win at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh.
Teammate Jack Hughes didn’t miss his return to the game while picking up two points.
For his part, Evgeni Malkin was the only goalscorer for the Penguins.
