In fact, McVay confirmed at a press conference on Tuesday that he had a contract extension in the bag. However, the California team would like to reach an agreement with Snead before confirming everything.

“[Snead] and I’ve always been a couple, he said, according to ESPN. We wanted to be able to announce this when we’re both done. [Mon contrat] is set. Snead does it.”

“We’ve taken care of it, but it’s very important to Snead and I that it’s shown. [de cette façon]because we are in a partnership.”

McVay, the youngest driver in NFL history when hired, has guided the Rams to two Super Bowl games since managing the club. When he couldn’t avoid a 13-3 loss to the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 53, he ended up lifting the Vince Lombardi Trophy with a 23-20 win over the Cincinnati Bengals at the end of last season.

McVay is now 37 and has gone 55-26 in five seasons with the Rams.

Snead has served as the organization’s CEO since February 2012, when the team was still based in St. Louis.
