Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow meets the Kansas City Chiefs for the second consecutive season in the AFC Finals on Sunday and is not surprised by his team’s remarkable performance.

“I wouldn’t say it’s surreal,” the quarterback told ESPN on Friday.
“I think if you said a few years ago that we were going to get into this situation, people would have thought you were crazy. We trusted the process, organization and management and brought together a great team and people who enabled us to achieve this,” added the lead prospect.
Last year, Zac Taylor’s charges caused the upset by knocking out the Chiefs at home in the American Association finals. Cincinnati had suddenly ended a 32-year losing streak without attending the Super Bowl. However, the Bengals’ good run ended in the last game against the Los Angeles Rams, who won 23-20.
In the only 2022 duel between the two AFC finalists, Ohio’s squad defeated Missouri 27-24. Burrow had completed 25 of his 31 stints and rushed for a total of 286 passing yards. The 26-year-old had scored two touchdown passes in addition to a middle finger with his legs.
The Bengals’ first-ever pick at the 2020 NFL auction expects a very different Chiefs team than the one that took on Kansas City last December.
“Your young cornerbacks are getting better and better every week. They work hard and are two of the best running backs we’ve played against,” said the Iowa native, referring to rookies Joshua Williams and Jaylon Watson.
Burrow also won his three career duels against Patrick Mahomes’ Chiefs. Every game between these two Goodell Tour powerhouses ended by a three-point margin.
The LSU University alum has won 12 of his 16 regular season starts. Not only did he throw 35 touchdown passes, but he also threw a total of 4,475 yards through the air. Those fine performances that season earned him the first Pro Bowl game selection of his career.
The duel between the Chiefs and the Bengals takes place on Sunday at the team’s home of Kansas City. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
