Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf has been showing his skills in recent days, but the NFL is far from convinced and ordered him to be drug tested on Monday.

As he reported by posting an image of a text message sent to him by a league official, the 25-year-old was “picked out” for a usual screening. It’s hard to tie NFL opinion to Metcalf’s recent exploits with certainty, but some were quick to point to coincidence.
On Sunday, a video showing him doing a one-handed catch on a lawn caused a stir on social media. That was followed by a brilliant performance by the Seahawks player at the celebrity game held in Salt Lake City on Friday on the sidelines of the NBA All-Star Game.
During that friendly basketball game, he totaled 20 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks to help Dwyane Wade’s team win 81-78 at the expense of Ryan Smith.
During the last NFL campaign, Metcalf had 1,048 yards and six touchdowns on 90 receptions.
