New Russian airstrikes in Kiev reported

According to Ukrainian sources, the Ukrainian capital Kiev was again exposed to massive Russian air strikes on Friday night. “Another airstrike on Kiev, the 13th in a row since the beginning of May! And as always at night,” the city’s civil and military administration said on the Telegram online channel. The missiles were fired from Tu-95MS bombers. All missiles were discovered and destroyed by air defense.

Authorities initially gave no information about casualties or damage. The Ukrainian General Staff reported a total of 55 Russian air strikes in the last day. 36 of them were combat drones.

According to the General Staff, an S-300 rocket hit a dam in Karlivka Oblast in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine. As a result, there is “great danger of flooding” for neighboring towns.

Nighttime bombing of Ukraine by Russia has increased again since early May, especially around Kiev. The day before, Russia had hit the Ukrainian capital with massive rocket attacks.
