Among the 49 titles announced, we keep first David Fincher’s highly anticipated thriller The Killer, an adaptation of the French comic by Matz, which will be released on November 10th.
The acclaimed filmmaker helped launch Netflix’s series House of Cards between 2013 and 2018, one of the streaming platform’s first viral successes.
With Michael Fassbender in the title role, The Killer chronicles the sufferings of a taciturn hitman who begins to develop resentment against his actions through his illegal contracts.

In a galaxy far, far away
Rebel Moon, the platform’s most expensive production this year – with an estimated budget of over $90 million – will launch three days before Christmas. This space soap is director Zack Snyder’s second collaboration with Netflix, following 2019’s Army of the Dead.
Inspired by the Star Wars universe and Akira Kurosawa’s classic The Seven Samurai, Rebel Moon is set in a galaxy far, far away. When a tyrant provokes a peaceful colony, these soldiers from neighboring planets call for resistance.

Other blockbusters include Extraction 2 (June 16), the sequel to the hit thriller starring Chris Hemsworth as an Australian mercenary; The Mother (May 12), in which Jennifer Lopez plays a hitman trying to protect her daughter; Heart of Stone (August 11) with Gal Gadot as an invaluable CIA spy; and finally, Lift (August 25), an action-comedy that mixes terror threats, mid-air plane robbery and American comedy megastar Kevin Hart.

Netflix also relies on some of its flagship artists to attract its members. Millie Bobby Brown, who plays heroine Eleven in the hit series Stranger Things, will be appearing in Damsel Online on October 13th.
This fairytale adventure film tells the story of a devoted young girl who marries a charming prince. However, she soon realizes that the marriage was a smokescreen and that the royal family intends to sacrifice her to repay an old debt, Netflix states.

Three Adam Sandler films will be broadcast on the platform this year. Recall that the famous comedian signed two deals with the distribution giant that netted him around $500 million in exchange for starring in 10 exclusive feature films for Netflix.
First up is March 31st Murder Mystery 2, in which Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler will return to their roles as private investigators. In their new adventures, the couple tries to free their boyfriend, a maharaja who was kidnapped on his wedding day.
Released November 22 is Leo, an animated feature film in which Adam Sandler voices a 74-year-old lizard who has languished on the benches of a Florida elementary school for decades.

Finally, this fall (date to be confirmed) we’ll see the actor’s more serious side in sci-fi drama Spaceman. Sandler plays a Czech astronaut who is sent near the planet Venus to collect intergalactic dust.
