According to The Athletic, the “Mavs” would have sent players Boban Marjanovic, Sterling Brown, Trey Burke and Marquese Chriss in return. They would have given up their first-round pick in the next draft (26th).

Last year, Wood averaged 17.9 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. Only nine other players on the circuit can boast at least 17 points and 10 rebounds per game.

The 26-year-old California native will complete the final season of a three-year, $41 million deal he signed with the Rockets.

All of the players acquired by the Rockets played fewer than 50 games with the Mavs last season. Burke is a former first-round pick, ninth-round pick in the 2013 auction but never made it to the NBA full-time.
