Narcotics: Searches in Saint-Bernard and Quebec

Three people were arrested in an operation to fight drug trafficking in Saint-Bernard and Quebec on Friday.

Police officers from the Integrated Anti-Arms Trafficking Team (EILTA) Quebec, in collaboration with the National Organized Crime Squad (ENRCO), conducted this operation in the Capitale-Nationale and in Beauce.

The investigation, which began in September 2022, resulted in the arrest of three people, two men aged 24 and 28 and a woman aged 27. The latter were released and could face charges of possession of narcotics for trafficking.

During the searches, which took place at three different locations, the police seized:

  • Approximately 343,000 methamphetamine pills;
  • More than 21 kilograms of powdered methamphetamine;
  • Plus 520 grams of cannabis;
  • More than 30 grams of cocaine;
  • Over 55 grams of magic mushrooms;
  • A total of approximately $13,900 in Canadian currency

The police also confiscated three vehicles as crime property.
