More than six years after the murder of a 30-year-old man in Ahuntsic-Cartierville County, a suspect has been arrested in a Caribbean country nearly 4,000 km from Montreal.

Shamora Robertson, 35, has been arrested in St Vincent and the Grenadines in the past few hours.
He was extradited to Montreal on Wednesday night and was due to appear at the Montreal Courthouse on Thursday on charges of murder.
Accompanied by three accomplices, Robertson is suspected of taking part in the murder of a 30-year-old man in an apartment on Rue Grenet on the night of April 30, 2016.
“After threatening the two housemates who were present, one of the four attackers brandished a firearm and fatally shot one of the victims in the head. The other victim survived after being hit with a wooden stick,” the SPVM said in a statement.
Shamora Robertson’s arrest is the third in this case. Shortly after the crime, investigators Jermaine Carlton Gero and Nikita Hunt handcuffed her. For her part, Shamora Robertson had decided to leave the country days after the murder.
Investigators are still looking for the fourth and final suspect in this case.
