Mom discovers daughter waking up alive after noticing fogged coffin glass

Twice a family in Mexico suffered the pain of their daughter’s death: given up for dead by doctors, the threeyearold woke up at her own wake. Saved by her family, she died on the way to the hospital.

Mary Jane Peralta, mother of little Camila, told El Universal newspaper that on August 17 her daughter started having abdominal pain, fever and vomiting. Faced with this, the family decided to take their daughter to a pediatrician in the town of Villa de Ramos, where they live.

However, the doctor advised Camila’s parents to take the child to a hospital as she was dehydrated. Therefore, the girl was taken to the Basic Community Hospital of Salinas de Hidalgo, where serum and medicines are prescribed, but there was no improvement in her health.

The family then decided to see a private doctor in another community. Medication and fluids were again prescribed. However, again there was no improvement, so the parents returned to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

“They took her with nothing and put it down, they didn’t do an EKG. She was still holding me, I felt my little girl’s strength, they took her away from me and told me let her rest in peace,” Mary Jane said. The mother said she would not be able to see her daughter until the undertaker delivered the child in the coffin.

The family found out that the girl was alive during the vigil

During the wake that took place the next day, Mary Jane noticed that the coffin was fogged. She insisted on opening it until her motherinlaw noticed Camila’s eyes moving. Then they took the pulse of the child who lived.

The family called an ambulance and the girl was taken to the hospital. However, when they got to the unit, the doctors pronounced Camila dead, this time really. “We are devastated because my little girl was a very happy person,” says her mother. Now the family demands justice.
