Mark your calendars. The race to crown the next World Series champion begins Friday, October 7 when the 2022 MLB postseason begins.

According to Major League Baseball’s postseason schedule announcement Monday, this first day of playoff action will feature four games from the American League and National League Wild Card Series hosted by Hankook Tire on ESPN, ABC and ESPN2 and ESPN app are presented. (ESPN Radio will also provide live national coverage of all 2022 MLB postseason games.) Presented by Capital One, the 2022 World Series is scheduled to open three weeks later on Friday, Oct. 28 and air on FOX, on which the coverage is taking place for the 25th time.

The National League Championship Series presented by LoanDepot is scheduled to begin Tuesday, October 18 and will be televised on FOX or FS1. The American League Championship Series presented by LoanDepot begins Wednesday, October 19 on TBS. If required, Game 7 of the NLCS is scheduled for Tuesday, October 25th, while Game 7 of the ALCS is scheduled for Wednesday, October 26th.
