Many netizens disagreed with the crowning of American R’Bonney Gabriel as Miss Universe 2022. Among them also Olga Cariño, the Mother of Miss Puerto Rico Ashley who entered the international beauty pageant and was in the top 5. On this occasion, the Queen Mother used her social networks to express her dissatisfaction with the result of the competition and to disqualify the organization led by Anne Jakrajutatip.
Let’s recall that the first and second finalists were Miss Venezuela, Amanda Dudamel, and Miss Dominican Republic, Andreína Martínez, respectively. Fourth and fifth were Miss Curacao and Miss Puerto Rico.
Through her Facebook profile, Cariño Arline, the Puerto Rican model’s parent, shared a lengthy message. Although he later deleted his publication, his writing was saved.

What did Miss Puerto Rico’s mother say?
“How sad are the injustices. How obvious it was. This organization will never be the same as before, or much less prestigious. From what has been seen so far, I think a lot was unnecessary (…),” he said at first. Then Cariño assured that R’Bonney Gabriel’s win was due to a contractual clause. “How sad to learn that the treaty apparently stipulated that for this sale the last crown of the United States had to be crowned, whichever was the best representation of a true queen.”
Darling Arline doubts the veracity of the pageant
“The Dominican Republic only entered because of the great teacher of cheating, dirty work and seeking favoritism by agreement and anyone who knows them knows what I am talking about. Miss Dominican Republic wasn’t in the top 3, sorry. And on Miss Venezuela, do your research on who sponsored the swimsuits and handbags for this contest,” concluded the Puerto Rican queen’s mother.
