Mindy Kaling has finally addressed the rumor that BJ Novak is the father of her two children

You know Mindy Kaling is the mother of two children, Katherine and Spencer.

You may also know that former The Office co-star BJ Novak, who dated Kaling throughout the show, is Katherine and Spencer’s godfather.

Well, if you’re the type of guy who spends a decent amount of time on the internet (who isn’t?), you might have come across the occasional speculation that BJ is actually the father of Mindy’s two children.

Mindy hasn’t addressed the rumors yet, but she did address them in a recent interview with Marie Claire.

“It doesn’t bother me,” she replied when asked how the speculation made her feel.

“He is godfather to both of my children – and they have such a great relationship – and so far [the speculation hasn’t] didn’t affect my happiness at all, it didn’t affect my kids or BJ,” she added.

“If that’s tingly for people, I’ll take it.”

This isn’t the first time Mindy has addressed the paternity of her children, which she has previously not publicly revealed.

Back in 2019, The New York Times asked her how she made the decision to keep Katherine’s father’s identity a secret.

“My feeling is that I won’t talk to anyone about this until I talk to my daughter about it,” she replied.
