A Michigan woman has been accused of killing her best friend after the couple feuded over a man they were feuding with – even sharing a photo of herself with black eyes on Facebook.

Raquelle Casillas, 44, of Mussey Township, “had the same man” with her self-proclaimed best friend and is said to have been a couple.

But the couple had recently fallen out over the 44-year-old man who lived in the home in Capac, St. Clair County.

Casillas even shared a photo on Facebook of both women smiling for the camera with blue eyes, cuts and bruises.

The caption read: Casillas referred to the woman next to her as “my best friend”.

When asked why both women had blue eyes, Casillas replied, ‘We were fighting.’ I took her boyfriend.’

The suspect’s father told he believes the beating was fueled with alcohol, although he could not identify the woman killed or the man the women were fighting over.

“They’ve been binge drinking for a while now and I think that probably has something to do with it.” “It was definitely the alcohol,” Carlos Casillas, 67, told .

“She’s a different person when she’s not drinking, but she’s been drinking for years, long before the relationship began,” Raquelle’s father explained.

He noted that he knew neither the deceased wife nor their husband.

“They probably got along well because they were all alcoholics,” he added.

Officers were alerted home around 4am on Tuesday after what appeared to be a total collapse of the triangular relationship.

Officers were called and found Casillas' girlfriend lying unconscious in the home's bathroom, but she was still breathing. She was taken to the hospital but died two days later

Casillas’ girlfriend was found lying unconscious on the bathroom floor on Tuesday after being beaten – but she was still breathing.

The woman was taken to McLaren Lapeer Hospital, where she later died from severe head injuries she sustained Thursday morning.

The disagreement between the two revolved around the relationship they both had with the man, and arguments lasted several days to the point of murder.

Authorities claim Casillas knocked her friend unconscious on Tuesday, prompting the man to call the police.

Casillas was arrested when police entered the home and has been charged with one count of outright murder.

She was also denied bail and is currently being held at the St. Clair County Detention and Intervention Center. Her next court hearing is scheduled for June 20.
