the country singer Michel Telo is requested by the 2nd Civil Court of the Itajaí Judicial District in Santa Catarina to serve the summons to a trial. He was involved in the process after traditional groupto which he belonged, suing a transport company.

According to information from the journalist Fábia Oliveira of EM OFF, Grupo Tradição filed a lawsuit against the company Althaus Transporte LTDA on the grounds that “on November 27, 2003, on the BR101 highway, he was surprised by a collision at the rear” it was carried out caused a company truck.

The lawsuit sought 85,104.01 in damages. In the first instance, Grupo Tradição’s applications were granted. The judge added that the band would receive a refund of $32,852.00 that was spent on renting another vehicle.

Althaus Transportes LTDA appealed the decision, claiming it was “the bus driver’s fault because when he exited the service station on the side of the motorway so he could drive in, he should have taken extra precautions to avoid the collision.”

Therefore, the judges reversed the decision and dismissed the motions made in the lawsuit. The ruling has been fulfilled since 2020, but the debt has not been settled. Althaus Transportes LTDA alleged that amounts due as a result of the lawsuit, which were set at BRL 40,937.03 in 2020, were not paid.

The company claims that it was unsuccessful in finding the legal entity and that “the debtor had not the slightest interest in resolving the dispute.” Now there is an application for the dissolution of the legal entity and for Michel Teló to be included in the lawsuit “as enforced”.
