Michael Clarke will address his dispute with Karl Stefanovic live on radio

Michael Clarke is embroiled in a cheating scandal after brutal footage emerged of the former Test captain being beaten by his girlfriend Jade Yarbrough.

Clarke, 41, will keep his radio job despite allegations he cheated on Yarbrough, 30, with his ex Pip Edwards, which prompted him to snub Karl Stefanovic.

The cricketer will retain his role on Sydney Breakfast Radio and will address the controversy on air when he is back in the studio on Monday.

Clarke remains on pre-planned annual leave from his role on Sky Sports Breakfast, with the channel’s breakfast crew not due to return until early next week.

A TabCorp spokesman has since told AAP that the matter is being treated as private and that Clarke will return to the air as planned.

Clarke, a 115 Tests veteran for Australia, has served in his role at Big Sports Breakfast since first becoming partners with Canberra NRL legend Laurie Daley in 2020.

The amazing runs scorer has also commentated on global cricket tournaments as part of the ICC broadcast team but has no other major media position in Australia.

Clarke has since apologized for his role in the Noosa altercation, telling the Daily Telegraph that he took full responsibility for the incident and was shocked by his actions.

“I am absolutely disappointed to have brought into this position people I value most in this position,” he said.

“My actions leading up to this altercation were downright shameful and regrettable. I totally own this and am the only one to blame.’

Stefanovic appeared in his regular role as co-host of Channel Nine’s Today Show on Thursday morning but did not address the matter.

It’s understood Clarke hopes to win back the heart of Yarbrough despite her now infamous public bust in Noosa.

A close friend of the retired cricket star said a “shattered” Clarke is already talking about winning Yarbrough back, despite almost admitting he cheated on her with his ex Edwards.

The revelation comes a day after stunning footage emerged of Clarke, along with Yarbrough, her sister Jasmine and husband Stefanovic, engaged in an ugly argument at a Noosa park on January 10.

At the heart of the feud were claims Clarke hooked up with ex-flame Edwards on December 17 while Yarbrough was on holiday.

But incredibly, Clarke is reportedly determined to reconcile with Yarbrough and is planning a “grand gesture” in hopes of winning her back.

“He crammed and he knows he crammed and broke, it’s as simple as that,” a friend of the Australian cricket legend told Chron Australia.

“But he wants Jade back. She is the one. But he knows it takes something big to make it happen.”

His friend added that Clarke is “in an emotionally dark place” and is in close contact with his “best friend” Anthony Bell, who was also involved in the Noosa melee.

“He’s a mess…a complete mess,” said the friend.

Both Clarke and Bell were contacted for comment.

Dramatic footage from The Daily Telegraph shows a shirtless Clarke being yelled at and hit by his hysterical girlfriend while others in the group try to defuse the commotion.

‘Am I wrong? I’m damn wrong! You are a fucking liar. i can see everything You called her,” Yarbrough yells.

Clarke and Yarbrough were friends for a few years after being introduced by Karl Stefanovic. They made their relationship official in August 2022.

It’s understood Stefanovic had tried to get the pair romantically reunited a few years earlier, but Yarbrough started dating someone else — surfer and charity director Andrew Leece.

However, the couple split in early 2022, and Yarbrough casually dated Clarke before the pair cemented their new romance with a trip to Italy in July.
