Miami kicks Buffalo, Green Bay goes home to Brady

On the third Sunday of the season, the Dolphins prevail thanks to defense, the Colts fold, Kansas City and Philadelphia continue to win

Only three teams remain unbeaten after the third Sunday of the NFL season. The day concludes with Monday Night New York-Dallas as the Giants recorded a 2-0 record versus 3-0 in Miami and Philadelphia. The Dolphins won the game with Buffalo, Green Bay won Tampa, home of Brady, even more than Rodgers thanks to the defense.

Miami-Buffalo 21-19

The Bills (2-1) looked like the team to beat just 7 days ago. Instead in Florida, thanks to the high school absences, the sweltering Florida heat, especially a plethora of pies from Josh Allen, not very clearly under pressure for an aspiring MVP. Otherwise, the Dolphins would be “dumped” with the victory kick thanks to the defense, which runs the clock with the opponents on their 40 yards. But Buffalo makes too many mistakes: mortal sins at the end of the first and second halves, a drop by Gabe Davis in the end zone, a wrong kick by Tyler Bass. Too much frenzy, up front. Miami grabs two touchdowns thanks to runs from Chase Edmonds and a try on the Tagovailoa River (!) from Cracraft, the underdog bucking the spotlight. Tua showed character by staying on the pitch despite a half-time shot that sparked fears of concussion. In the final he separated, costing the next safety on an unregulated boat, but didn’t pay any duty.

Tampa Bay-Green Bay 12-14

The challenge between Monument quarterback Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers is paradoxically dominated by defense. With the two phenomena forced by absences and work in progress to marry with dried figs. The Packers (2-1) start very strong, scoring touchdowns at the end of the first two drives thanks to passes from Rodgers to newcomer Romeo Doubs and veteran Allen Lazard. Rodgers starts 8/8 as complete, Brady even 12/12. But on the third descent, the guests convert, the Bucs (2: 1) do not. A Logan Ryan interception puts Tampa back in the game, but to celebrate a try they have to wait 14″ from the end of the game. The usual icy Brady leads the comeback and finds Russell Gage in the end zone but fighting beyond the allowed. But the two-point conversion to force extra time from 7 yards after an unforgivable penalty ends incomplete. Cole Beasley’s decent debut replacing Brady, who was without the targets of Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Julio Jones.

The others fit

The surprise of the day comes in Indianapolis: The Colts beat unbeaten Kansas City 20:17. At 24″ on the clock, Matt Ryan Woods found the decisive overtaking maneuver in the end zone, then Mahomes was intercepted by MacLeod. Philadelphia keeps winning: Washington dominates 24-8 with Hurts, who is initially at odds with management who chose him as franchise quarterback over Wentz. Smith irrepressible: 156 yards of tricks in the first half. Baltimore prevails in New England: 37-26 against the Pats, 5 total goals for Jackson, Mac Jones injures his left ankle in the final. Cincinnati’s first win of the season at Super Bowl 2022: 27:12 away at the New York Jets, the pearl is the combination of 56 yards and 6 points on the Burrow-Boyd axis. Reigning champions Los Angeles Rams win 20-12 at Glendale, Arizona: Donald’s 100th career sack. Tennessee raises its head: 24-22 in Las Vegas, while Minnesota trumps Detroit 28-24 thanks to Osborn’s goal with 45 minutes to go. Eventually, Chicago wins 23-20 over Houston, Carolina 22-14 over New Orleans, and Jacksonville 38-10 over the Los Angeles Chargers with Herbert on the griddle but not at his best. Atlanta defeated Seattle 27:23, on Sunday evening the defense raged: The Broncos stopped the San Francisco 49ers with 11:10.
