He mentioned that in other legislatures regulations have been proposed but stopped and that there is a draft of the project that will be sent to the members of the Commission and will be the subject of opinions in order to enrich it and develop an excellent initiative for the sector .

He pointed out that the idea is that all the members of the commission go there and he suggested meeting with the Mexican Chamber of Maritime Transport Industry, the Mexican Association of Shipping Agents and other bodies in the sector to listen to them and take part participate opinions and demands.

He proposed a meeting with the Secretary of the Navy to address and coordinate a visit to Campeche Sound and learn more about its structure and the problems it faces in order to develop a working agenda based on the information received.

For her part, MEP Sofía Carvajal also considered it essential to encourage the growth of the maritime industry.
