According to the publication, the singer will be the cochairs of the evening Dua Lipa; the actresses Michaela Coel and Penelope Cruz and the retired tennis player Roger Federer. The four were chosen because they represent three different areas of popular culture.

The Met Gala (or Gala of the Costume Institute) is a benefit ball for the Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET), from New York. The event takes place annually and brings together several stars in themed costumes.
In 2023 the motto of the ball is “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty”. The event will pay tribute to the legacy of the German fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld.
In addition, the MET will host an exhibition of around 150 pieces that “explore the artistic language of the designer”. The articles represent the different stages of Lagerfield’s career, who has worked as creative director for the brands fendi, chloe and chanels.
Andrew Boltoncurrent curator of the Anna Wintour Costume Center at the New York Museum, said the idea for the theme came from a tribute the designer’s assistants paid during a memorial service.
“I was so intrigued by the way they communicated (with the designer), which was through drawing. Every project in his life was a sketch,” he said.
The Met Gala 2023 will take place on this day May 1, 2023.
