In their insane rush to cover for President Joe Biden amid his exploding classified documents scandal, they have managed to turn 180 degrees on almost every major position they have taken in recent months.
When it was revealed that President Donald Trump was storing sensitive materials at Mar-a-Lago, he was a national security threat, a blatant criminal, and unfit to ever hold high office again.
But now that Biden has done something similar, they’re singing a different tune. I know I shouldn’t be surprised, but this verbal gymnastics is too daring, the logical contortions too painful to ignore.
Where do I even start?
Remember the term “fake news” popularized by You-know-who. The leftist scholars are bringing it back.

We know what the documents looked like. The White House said Biden’s personal attorney found them.
“Does it feel like opp research to you? Does it feel like Republicans are behind this?’ suggested Sunny Hostin.

Democratic Congressman Hank Johnson (D-GA) went even further. He speculated that the documents may have been part of an elaborate conspiracy to frame the president.
“You can frame people for things,” he said. “Things can be planted in places and then conveniently discovered. That may have happened here. I don’t rule that out. But I’m open about the investigation that needs to be investigated.
Be sure to investigate the investigation. But first, Mr. Congressman, ask yourself this question: who would have the resources and foresight to steal top-secret documents from the White House, next stash them secretly in Biden’s office and Wilmington’s home, only for them to be discovered years later ?

Applying Occam’s razor to this mystery, I conclude that Biden probably just screwed it up – whether there was criminal intent behind that failure remains to be determined.
The Democrat backbend didn’t stop there.

After Trump’s illegal library was exposed, Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) turned it up to 11.
“Donald Trump stole classified documents. Not only has he jeopardized our national security, but also the security of our allies around the world. He must be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law,” she tweeted.
Can you guess what she said about Biden’s personal stash?
“Certainly there is a political issue for all of us as Democrats, but I think there are significant differences, and I think it’s important to look at the fact that this president is fully cooperating with the investigation,” she told CNN .
She seems to have calmed down.
After Mar-a-Lago was searched by the FBI, Democrats wanted to know who was there and when. That’s not unreasonable considering there were classified documents in the building.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre just dodged the question at a very chilling moment — and that’s saying a lot when it comes to KJP.
Biden himself went further in “60 Minutes,” shaming Trump for taking footage from the White House.
“How could that possibly happen, how could someone be so irresponsible,” Biden said tsk-tsked. “I thought what data is in there that could compromise sources and methods… just completely irresponsible.”

“My Corvette is in a locked garage,” Biden said in a brief ad lib Thursday as he read a canned response to screaming reporters. “So it’s not like it’s sitting on the street.”

The list goes on and on, but let me finish with this whopper.
At the very beginning of the Biden administration, they promised to be the most transparent White House in modern American history. Obviously they missed that as I wrote before.
In this case, the White House insists that the only thing that separates Biden’s document debacle from Trump’s is that Biden was absolutely correct and cooperated with the Justice Department from the start.
That is not the case either.
Documents were first discovered in Biden’s personal private office in Washington, DC on November 2, about a week before Midterms 2022.
The White House did not publicly announce the discovery until January 9, nearly two months later, and only after it was reported in the media.
How’s that for transparency?
Biden himself went further in “60 Minutes,” shaming Trump for taking footage from the White House.
And then there’s the news that a key driving factor behind Attorney General Merrick Garland’s decision to hire an independent investigator to investigate this fiasco was that the White House statements were misleading and “created the impression that… Biden’s team had something to hide.”
The American people are used to the outrageous double standards, but the saddest thing is that the left-wing partisan media and politicians just don’t seem to care. All their babble about honesty and fraying democracy is a puff of hot air.
When a Democrat is in trouble, there isn’t an Alex Jones-level conspiracy he won’t bow to. There is no reality they will not deny.
We see many Americans moving from traditional media and politicians to independent media and unorthodox leaders, and that’s exactly why.
We are all hurt by this. Distrust of our institutions is arguably America’s greatest domestic threat. If the Left really cared about the health of our democracy, they would start acknowledging the obvious because they are not fooling anyone.
