And as if the ’90s weren’t enough, 2005 saw the release of The Strange Path, which essentially contained his love story at the time, a story that famously ended a few years ago and inspired one of his latest albums.
Since Pezzali has actually always very often related human situations with his lyrics and is often linked to love and friendship, the songs are “light” but his lyrics are very profound and it is impossible not to find yourself in at least one of these songs. The 883 Group, which he founded in 1991 with his friend Mauro Repetto, is a nineties brand and when Pezzali continued here as a soloist since 2004, he was back on the crest of the wave, because whoever loved the 883 could not help but follow him also by itself.
Traveling is a recurring theme in Pezzali’s writing, a theme close to his heart and about which he has spoken in interviews: “For me, on the other hand, what counts is the journey, not the destination to be reached, but the journey itself, the fact the street, the company, enjoying every single perfume. “Time Out” means exactly that: Let’s take a break and enjoy the journey regardless of the destination”. This is one of his last statements on one of the last plays.
