Maryse of Survivor Quebec: ‘There’s one aspect that TV really doesn’t get enough of’ – Showbizz.net

We recently spoke to Maryse, who left the Survivor Quebec adventure after losing a challenge on the Isle of Salvation to Nicolas and Sylvain.

She told us about the famous tribal council where Sandrine (and even Patrice Bélanger) tried to shuffle the cards within the main alliance. See what she had to say here.

The player also addressed what she would have liked to see on screen that she didn’t find in the episodes.

“There’s one aspect that’s really under-represented on television, and that’s the survival aspect,” she says right away. “Of course it gets boring watching people sleep on the floor, I know that, but you have to know that we’re not being filmed 24/7. At night when we make a fire, we forget about the game. We return to our human nature. When it rains we share moments of vulnerability that create really strong bonds, that’s not filmed either, but the guiding principle of the game, everything is there, everything is well represented. »

Regarding the survival aspect, Maryse points out that the lack of food, both in quantity and variety, is the biggest challenge for her. “Sleeping on the floor, no, it’s not comfortable, but I didn’t mind. Eating white rice was difficult for me because it is not nutritious and I usually eat so healthy and organized. Eating white rice twice a day can actually cause tension because you are hungry. Some people eat larger portions than others. We are so nervous that it can become such an easy source of conflict. I think a diet, even if I had previously prepared myself to do intermittent fasting for two months, you can’t really be prepared for that. »

“Plus, there’s social isolation,” she adds. “Yes we are surrounded by other players but we don’t have much contact with production, we don’t have contact with our family, loved ones, we are physically isolated on an island, that creates isolation. Social what that can be hard to live with. This gives us a better understanding of why the remaining players in the adventure were so excited to meet young students from a school in the Philippines on Thursday’s episode.

Keep in mind that Maryse also told us that she had a hard time watching that moment on TV.
