Mary J. Blige gave the performance of her life on stage early Saturday night as part of her “Good Morning Gorgeous” tour in Detroit.
The 51-year-old talented singer dazzled in a shimmering bustier and rhinestone boots.
The Grammy Award-winning actress began her nationwide tour of the United States earlier this month in September and will wrap up towards the end of October.

The Family Affair hitmaker confidently sang on stage to a sold-out crowd of cheering and devoted fans who packed Little Caesars Arena in the heart of town.
She donned a shimmering bustier that had glittery boning throughout. The star added a pair of black velvet shorts to complete the look.
Mary slipped on a pair of beaded heeled boots that sparkled in the bright stage lights.
Her blonde hair was parted in the middle and flowed down her shoulders in stylish waves.

Matching her ensemble’s color scheme, her makeup consisted of a layer of dark eyeshadow and black mascara. She added nude lipstick to complete her look.
According to the Detroit Free Press, it was the singer’s first time entering Little Caesars Arena and it had been 10 years since she had performed in the heart of Detroit.
The star held a gold microphone as she sang a mix of her older hits and newer songs from her latest 2022 album, Good Morning Gorgeous.
Discussing the creative process of putting the album together, Mary explained to Good Morning America, “It’s a positive endorsement,” she said in reference to the album’s name.
“I needed to speak up about myself when I was in a really dark situation. I had to learn to love myself from a negative place. I’ve learned that positive words, and when you speak positive words about yourself, you manifest positive things in your life.’

The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul made a memorable entrance when she performed alongside other artists such as Eminem, Dr. Dre and Kendrick Lamar during the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show.
She received an Emmy Award for Performance for Outstanding Variety Special at the 2022 Creative Emmy Awards. Mary shares the award with the other musical artists who have performed on the main stage at Super Bowl LVI.
“I don’t even have the words to explain how full and how big an achievement this was. I just felt so powerful,” she told Apple Music 1 during an interview while discussing her performance.
“If you’ve never seen me or met me or gone to one of my shows, you know exactly who I am after the Super Bowl. I couldn’t wait to meet the Mary Bopping. I couldn’t wait to just be myself and do what I do in front of this crowd.”

During her Saturday night concert performance in Detroit, other special artists had joined her on stage.
British-born singer Ella Mai wore a vibrant teal ensemble, including a teal satin blazer and knee-high boots in the same colour.
Queen Naija, who grew up primarily in the city of Detroit, also appeared on stage to prepare for Mary’s performance. She wore a nude pantsuit that was embellished with shimmering rhinestones.
The Good Morning Gorgeous tour kicked off on September 17th and will continue nationwide until the end of next month on October 29th. The different cities she will be performing in include Chicago, Las Vegas, Atlanta and Brooklyn.
