Miss Universe Australia Maria Thattil is going public with her relationship with TikTok star Jorgee Rae after coming out as bisexual – and tells how it was “lust at first sight” between the women

Maria Thattil has revealed that this is her first time in a relationship since coming out as bisexual and how she wished to see more interracial same-sex couples growing up in the media.

The former Miss Universe Australia, 29, spoke to Stellar Magazine about her romance with girlfriend Jorgia O’Hare, 29, – who is known online as Jorgee Rae – and how the couple hit it off almost immediately.

“It was lust at first sight and it was obsession at first sight,” she said of the Melbourne psychotherapist.

“After that first date, I stayed the night and the next day I went on a business trip to the Gold Coast with my brother and I secretly referred to her as my girlfriend. I haven’t felt like this in a long time.

Maria, who is of Indian descent, added: “If I had seen a mixed-race, same-sex female couple in the media when I was growing up – open, visible, living honestly – it might have shaped my own experience a bit more positively.”

Jorgia has found fame on social media platform TikTok, amassing 86,000 followers.

The pair sparked rumors that they are dating after fans spotted them exchanging flirtatious messages online.

Photos on Jorgee’s Instagram account show the duo looking cozy together.

Maria, a model and 9Honey columnist, aptly commented on several of Jorgee’s posts with “dream girl” and “wowweeeeeee”.

Her sexuality is no secret as she regularly uses the hashtag #LesbiansofTikTok when posting on the popular social media app.

Maria, who is of Indian descent, added:

Maria came out as bisexual in January last year while a contestant on Channel 10’s I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and has since defined herself as pansexual.

She reflected on this milestone on National Coming Out Day in October.

“If I could be in the closet a year ago and 365 days later comfortably talking about strap-ons, then I believe in you,” she told her fans.
