Robbie’s Versace dress is from the Italian luxury label’s Spring 1995 couture collection and also features skimpy straps with gold embellishments, a corset bodice and ruffles. The red lace detailing helped highlight the slit. Along with the stunning item, the Amsterdam actress paired matching light blue heels.

The Once Upon a Time in Hollywood alum wore her long blonde tresses down, parted in the middle and styled into sleek, loose waves. As for makeup, the I, Tonya star opted for a subtle smokey eye look with voluminous lashes, added rosy bright blush along her cheekbones and finished it off with a glossy pink lip.

On the carpet, Robbie joined her Babylon co-stars for photos including Diego Calva, Phoebe Tonkin and Samara Weaving, who appeared to match Robbie in a baby blue dress.

Robbie talks about the determination to star in Babylon and the “grueling” filming process

In an interview with W Magazine this month, Robbie noted that her role in Babylon as silent film actress Nellie LaRoy was a role she was immediately drawn to. (This might explain their amazing performance!)

In the film, Robbie’s character, LaRoy, is a feisty, feisty, and wild Hollywood partygoer. “When I got the script for Babylon, I felt like I had to do it,” she explained. “I’ve never felt that way about a screenplay. I was beside myself – at one point I suggested I show up at the principal’s house. When we finally met, I said, ‘I have to play this role – it’s mine.’”

The Birds of Prey graduate continued, adding: “Playing a crazy girl isn’t hard for me. [Laughs] Back in the 1920s, there was more cocaine in LA than there is now. Thirty-year-olds ran the studios and twenty-year-olds became millionaires.”

She continued: “There were no rules – it was a whole new industry and nothing was regulated. They had a lot of fun, a lot of partying. Nellie is the center of this world. And she doesn’t wear a lot of clothes! One of the main costumes I wear in the film is jumpsuits with no bra, no top, nothing – and nobody loves dressing up more than I do.”

Babylon is currently in theaters and the film (which also stars Brad Pitt, Tobey Maguire and more) is also available to stream on Amazon Prime.
