During Caldeirão with Mion this Saturday (28th), Maiara, a duo with Maraisa, was moved to tears after singing Presepada, a song they shared with Marília Mendonça (19962021) before her death. At the end of the presentation for Sob o Som, part of the program where guests try to get the songs and singers right, the sertaneja hugged her sister and then talked about how much Marília misses her since they are friends.

“She’s always crying,” Maraisa said. “I understood why it took us so long to get here, it was going to be a very special moment,” Maiara said after casting her vote. Marcos Mion was moved by the artist’s situation and spoke about the friendship between them. “It is a gift to those who receive it (this presentation) because it becomes real!” said the presenter.
Through social networks, netizens repeated the singer’s scream, remembering Marília Mendonça. “When I saw Maiara crying in Caldeirão when she sang presepada, I started to cry,” said one person. “Do you know this fantastic, different, special, incomparable, above average person? Forever Marília Mendonça,” commented one fan.

“Impossible not to get emotional. Maiara hugs Maraísa while the two sang the song “Presepada” composed by Marília Mendonça and Maraísa,” wrote another netizen. Marília Mendoça died in November 2021 after the plane she was on collided with high voltage power lines and crashed in the rural area of Caratinga, Minas Gerais. The Sertaneja was very friends with Maiara and Maraisa, with whom she also had some musical partnerships.

It’s not the first time Maiara has burst into tears over Marília’s memories. Sertaneja was moved to tears when she debuted as a coach on The Voice Kids program in May 2022. Along with her sister Maraisa, the singer cried a lot when she heard one of the participants singing Flor eo BeijaFlor, a song of her late friend.
