It was recently announced that Madonna has halted production on her planned biopic Little Sparrow to concentrate on her tour.

The development of the project started in the mid-2010s and the singer officially announced that it will go into production in 2020.

Numerous actresses applied for the leading role in the planned film and Julia Garner ultimately emerged as the front-runner after a particularly intensive casting process.

However, Variety confirmed the project was indefinitely suspended last Tuesday.
