The diva announced her tour in a quirky video

Madonna announced her tour in a strange video posted to her Instagram account on Tuesday, without all of her photos. We see the singer at a table with celebrities — including Judd Apatow, Jack Black, Lil Wayne, Bob the Drag Queen and Amy Schumer — playing a slightly risqué role in Truth or Consequence (a nod to his 1990 film Truth or Wagen ). It’s comedian Amy Schumer who challenges Madonna to a tour with her hits of the last 40 years. The diva then announces The Celebration Tour to her 18.6 million subscribers.

Madonna at the Bell Center in September 2015

The Queen of Pop’s last visit to Canada dates back to September 2015. She performed at the Bell Center in Montreal and the Videotron Center in Quebec City, three years after she set the Plains of Abraham on fire in September 2012. Produced by Live Nation, The Die Celebration Tour kicks off its North American leg in Vancouver on July 15th. Madonna will then be in Toronto on August 13th and Montreal on August 19th. Her tour will then take her to Europe in October.

For this new round, the Material Girl will be traveling with a very special guest: Bob the Drag Queen. The comedian – and big winner of the eighth edition of RuPaul’s Drag Race – will be in charge of warming up the crowd before each of Madonna’s performances around the world.

The Big Apple, where Madonna’s career began, will also be honored on this tour.

She launched several fashions

Will Madonna return to her iconic looks of the past 40 years on stage? We hope to see her in her Jean Paul Gaultier peg corset, pearl necklaces and pierced gloves from the Desperately Seeking Susan movie, her pink satin dress from the Material Girl video, her white tutu from Like A Virgin, her red dress in La Isla Bonita, her Marilyn look, her roller skates from Hung Up and her famous Vogue costume.

The singer turns 65 in August

Madonna Louise Ciccone was born on August 16, 1958. The Like a Virgin singer will have just celebrated her 65th birthday when she takes the stage at the Bell Center three days later.
