Maddie McCann case: On Instagram, a German woman who is convinced that she is the missing little girl asks for a test

A 21-year-old German woman believes she is little Madeleine, who disappeared in 2007 at the age of three. She gives details on her social networks and La Dépêche reveals the arguments that led her to this assumption.

The Maddie McCann case is back on the media scene. After the arrest of the main suspect in 2022, a young woman is convinced that she is the little girl who disappeared in Praia da Luz, Portugal, on May 3, 2007. Madeleine was three years old then.

A similar suspect

“Help me, I need to speak to Kate and Gerry McCann. I think I could be Madeleine. I need a DNA test,” wrote the 21-year-old German in her bio on her Instagram account. “My grandmother told me that my family knew I had been hurt by a pedophile,” says the young adult.

She says she has few memories of her childhood. In addition, she claims that one of the suspects listed on the official website findmadeleine.com resembles the person who sexually abused her as a child, reports La Dépêche du Midi.

Identical moles

To back up her words, the German highlights her identical birthmarks on her face and thighs, which match Maddie’s. She also has a mark in her right eye similar to that of the missing Brit. “Even though I’m not the real Madeleine, I hope the police look into it. I can’t be 100% sure without a DNA test.”

In a TikTok post published this Friday, February 17, the German said she was in touch with a member of the McCann family. However, Maddie’s parents did not respond to the young woman’s comments.
