Released with a PG-13 rating, we had heard the unrated version of the box-office hit M3GAN was on the way, and indeed it was officially announced today.
M3GAN arrives Digital February 24th and further Blu-ray & DVD March 21st from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, including the theatrical version and the unrated edition!
The Unrated Cut will also stream on Peacock on February 24th.

writer Akela Cooper The Los Angeles Times revealed last month that the film’s original R-rated incarnation was slightly different. For starters, it was “a lot bloodier.”
“No shade for Universal, I love them and I understand that when the trailer went viral, teenagers chimed in and you want them to be able to see it,” Cooper explained to the outlet.
She continued, “At some point there will be an unrated version… I heard it’s in the books. But yeah, it was a lot bloodier. Her body count in the script was higher than in the film. It wasn’t Gabriel [in Malignant]-Massacre, but they killed a lot more people, including a few characters that James [Wan] was like, “I like what you did to these people, but I want them to live.” I’ve been merciless, but again, I am. My humor is extremely dark.”

When Gemma suddenly becomes the caretaker of her orphaned 8 year old niece Cady (Violet McGraw, Haunted Hill House), Gemma is insecure and unprepared to become a parent. Under immense pressure at work, Gemma decides to pair her M3GAN prototype with Cady to solve both problems – a decision that will have unimaginable consequences.
