Lupita Nyong’o leads the glamor at the European premiere of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

The stars were out and about in large numbers on Thursday night as they attended the European premiere of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, held at London’s Cineworld Leicester Square.

At the forefront of glamour, Lupita Nyong’o looked sensational in an embellished black and silver gown as she graced the black carpet in the capital.

The 39-year-old actress was joined by an equally stylish Maya Jama and Michaela Coel as they posed for snaps at the Marvel film’s screening.

Lupita, who plays Nakia in the film, looked flawless as ever in her high-necked, tousled piece, which featured waves of silver studs throughout.

She paired her look with statement silver earrings and a matching bracelet, which she accentuated with a glamorous makeup palette.

To complete her look, Lupita’s locks were woven into an intricate halo style.

Maya, 28, put on a busty show in a striking red dress with an illusory cleavage detail as she posed up a storm for the cameras.

She was sure that all eyes would be on her in her stunning dress, which with its plunging neckline gave the illusion that she was showing lots of skin.

Meanwhile, Michaela, 35, was typically chic in a stylish all-black number as she stepped onto the black carpet.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is expected to hit blockbuster ticket sales in its opening weekend after it hits theaters on November 11, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The prequel to the highly anticipated sequel debuted domestically in February 2018 at $202 million and grossed $1.34 billion at the global box office.

The Marvel adaptation, also directed by Ryan Coogler, became one of the highest-grossing films of all time.

At the time, it was the first film since Avatar — the highest-grossing film of all time — to top the box office for five straight weekends.

In the original, late actor Chadwick Boseman, who passed away in 2020, played the title role of Black Panther amid a cast that also included Michael B. Jordan and Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong’o.

Numerous cast members from the first film expressed interest in returning for a sequel, although plans became complicated when Boseman tragically died of colon cancer.

It was later confirmed that plans for a sequel were moving forward and the late actor’s role would not be recast.

Filming on the project began last June and continued until the crew finished last March.

The latest Black Panther: Wakanda Forever trailer confirmed a new Black Panther following the death of King T’Challa and debuted a new hero.

The two-minute, action-packed clip was released by Marvel last month as it showed that someone would take over the mantle after Boseman’s character died, in addition to showing Ironheart for the first time.

The end of the trailer featured a woman in a form fitting suit similar to T’Challa’s, presumably his sister Shuri, played by Letitia Wright.

Another key moment was the first glimpse of Ironheart in an all-steel suit as she flies through the air much like Iron Man.
