The one that ended the 2022 season on the third level of the international chessboard topped the charts with its win last Sunday as part of the LPGA Tournament of Champions. It was the first competition of the 2023 campaign and brought together all the women golfers who had won a trophy the previous year. The Ontarian was in control throughout the competition and won by four hits.

Henderson won his 13th career title on the prestigious professional circuit, marking a pinnacle in Canadian golf history.

“It’s really exciting. I always try to get some wins during the season,” Henderson told NBC Sports Network after his win.

“Getting one in my first tournament puts less strain on my shoulders. I love playing the LPGA Tour and competing against the best players in the world every week. It’s exciting to be in the race and fantastic to lift a trophy.”
